The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers hosted industry changemakers at its prestigious 114th Annual Awards in March 2025. Dumisa Ngwenya received the SAIEE Engineer of the Year Award, sponsored by ACTOM.
This award is presented to a SAIEE member who has energetically and voluntarily promoted electrical science and its applications for the benefit of SAIEE members and the Southern African community. Mr Ngwenya is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of extensive experience in ICT, including more than 15 years in senior leadership roles across IT, operational technology, and digital transformation. He is an expert in designing and implementing technology strategies, governance frameworks, and risk management initiatives.
